This week in class we are studying escapes from the side headlock position. It is common in a fight for people to grab the head and try to twist you down to the ground. This is one of the reasons you will end up in this position on the ground in a ground fight. with this in mind it is a good idea to study intelligent methods of escape from this position. And that is a good reason we study Gracie Jiu-Jitsu at the Atlanta martial arts center. Since the techniques and Gracie Jiu-Jitsu are designed to work for it weaker smaller individual, it is a good study for someone who is interested in studying a true self-defense that will work for them in a situation on the street.
